9-11-24Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 6. In Romans 6 through Romans 8 we learn that because of the finished work on the Cross—sin no longer has ahold of us. That we've been set free from the power of sin and death! Paul teaches the keys to overcoming sin and our fallen sin nature we must follow 4 principles:1. Know (vs. 3-10)
2. Reckon (vs. 11-12)
3. Present (vs. 13-19)
4. Obey (verses 16-17)We'll continue to explore these keys to victory as we continue through Romans 6. This is all a part of the sanctification process as a believer, for His glory and kingdom.***Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world.Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.Calvary Chapel Elk Grove is a non-denominational fellowship located in Roselle, a northwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois. This weeks' Video Message:

That we've been free from the power of sin and death! Does that mean that because grace abounds we should sin more because it's covered? Absolutely not! Because of this freedom we should want to live more for Him!In Romans, Chapters 3-5 we learn that we are free from the penalty of sin. The theme was Justification (salvation)—as a Christian this refers to my position before God—the emphasis here is on being. Now, in Romans Chapters 6-8 we will learn that we are free from the power of sin. The theme we'll see through these chapters is Sanctification—this refers to my practice for God—the emphasis here is on doing.***Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. 5-29-24Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 5. Romans 5 is an amplification of the last 2 words of Romans 4: “Our justification”—and explains two basic truths: ‘The Blessings of Justification’; ‘The Basis for our Justification.’God had created a perfect world. It was represented in the Garden of Eden, but when Adam & Eve sinned, it corrupted mankind then and for all to come, including us. So then what could the remedy be? Was there hope for sinful mankind? Yes! And it came through one Man. The Son of Man, Jesus Christ.***Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach.

5-22-24Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 5. 4-15-20Join Pastor Phil Ballmaier as he explores this small, but very exhuberant epistle of the Book of Jude. Jude was fierce about contending for the faith, as false teachers were trying to pull down the truths of the early church. In this message, apostates were infiltrating the groups of believers who would gather together for love feasts (or potlucks). They were selfish in their ambitions and here Pastor Phil teaches how not only were they being warned to watch out for them, but harsh judgment would be coming to all those who would attempt to harm the Body of Christ with their untruths.Sadly, the Body of Christ still fights to identify these types of apostates, and root them out before they can corrupt God's people. We will be livestreaming every Wednesday night at 7 PM on our Youtube Channel at: www.Youtube.com/c/ccelkgroveClick the circular Calvary Logo and this will bring you to our main page.Pastor Phil Ballmaier is senior pastor at Calvary Chapel Elk Grove, a non-denominational fellowship in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. For more series, visit our websites at:

3-1-17The James who wrote the epistle that bears his name is regarded by most, if not all evangelicals, to be James the half-brother of the Lord Jesus Christ. James was not a follower of Jesus during His earthly ministry but became a believer after His resurrection. James went on to become the lead pastor of the church in Jerusalem. He was the one who made the deciding speech at the Jerusalem Council (15:13–22), and Paul called James one of the pillars of the church (Galatians 2:9).

Book of Daniel
Pastor Phil Ballmaier
8-30-17
Daniel was one of the Hebrew teenagers taken captive by the Babylonians and brought to Babylon in the first deportation which occurred in 606 BC. Daniel was deeply committed to his God, the God of Israel, and purposed that he would live for and honor God in Babylon even as he had done in Jerusalem.
Because of Daniel’s faith and commitment to God, the LORD used him in incredible ways and he became a high ranking official in both the Babylonian and Medo-Persian empires. His life personifies the adage, “Blossom wherever God plants you.” Daniel was a man who purposed in his heart (1:8) that he would not defile himself with the pleasures of Babylon (the world) but would remain faithful to his God no matter what. The Book of Daniel is not only a book of history, it is also one of the most incredible books of prophecy in the Bible. As we read and study this book may we accept the challenge the Holy Spirit has placed in it for all of us who are the people of God—“Dare to be a Daniel!”
