Today Pastor Phil reminds us that we are in a spiritual battle. The enemy has one goal. To steal, rob and destroy. For a grounded Christian, we can use the tools that God has given us. The Apostle Paul spells it out clearly in the Book of Ephesians. Put on the Whole Armor of God. Be sure to check that out. But our greatest tool is being fully equipped, and that can only come by being in the Word of God—our greatest weapon against the enemy.
May we abide in Him, purpose in our hearts, and seek Him out completely, being washed by the power of His Word, and walking in the power of His Spirit. Fully equipped for every good work!

He was asking that The Father would "keep them in unity.” A perfect unity and true humility that only comes from The Holy Spirit. Unity in the Body of Christ is commanded.As we abide in Him and in His love, seeking after Him in His Word, God will pour out His power in us to do this. First He prays for Himself (verses 1-5), for the Disciples (verses 6-19) and for us and all believers to come (verses 20-26). In today's verses He begins, "the hour has come..."
