Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God. In the first 17 verses of this letter, Paul is introducing himself to the Christians in Rome.
As an apostle, and a bondservant separated by the Gospel.. The people of this region didn't quite know him yet and it was imperative by Paul to reiterate the foundations of faith in Jesus, the incarnate Son of God, and the Resurrection Lord. Without full belief in these two imperatives, one cannot call themselves a Spirit-filled Christian. Let's see how Pastor Phil begins to outline this.

1-15-23Today we continue with Part 2 of "Sent By The Son", as we see the resurrected Jesus appear to His disciples. He walked with them, and talked with them, and reinforced all He had taught them. And now He was more fully equipping them, and all who would see Him in His resurrected body. Did you know that following His death and resurrection that Jesus stayed on the earth 40 more days?In this section of scripture we reach a turning point in all of our study of The Gospel of John as it is the monumental beginning of The New Covenant. 1-8-23We continue focusing this morning on new beginnings, as the resurrected Jesus appears to His disciples. Can you put yourself in their shoes? One can only imagine how it felt when their eyes were opened when Jesus said, "Peace be with you." Up until that time Jesus had appeared to Mary at the tomb, and the men on the road to Emmaus, but today we see the disciples scared, and hiding away from the Jews, when suddenly Jesus appears in the room with them! Luke 24 gives an incredible and a bit more detailed parallel viewpoint of this moment. We also learn that, following His death, Jesus stayed on the earth for 40 more days, in His resurrected body to further equip and commission his disciples and all those He encountered. Leaving us a legacy to follow...In this section of scripture we reach a turning point in all of our study of The Gospel of John as it is the monumental beginning of The New Covenant.
